Mini Oommen is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who joined the practice in 2022. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University in Mumbai, India. She worked as a pediatric ICU nurse with Cooperman Barnabas Health System for over 20 years. She graduated with her master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in December 2020. Mini is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her areas of specialty include establishing and maintaining breastfeeding, obesity prevention, and mental health for children, teens, and young adults. She enjoys providing holistic health care and educating patients on how health maintenance can prevent chronic health conditions. She feels one of the best parts of being a nurse practitioner is having the opportunity to enhance the lives of others.
She lives in NJ, with her husband and two children, a daughter, and a son. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and traveling in her spare time.
